I have created a music video for “Maware” (Keep on spinning), an image song for the SF novel “Tenku-seyo Hossho-ji” [Hossho-ji the Star Temple].
[Intro]
Underneath the leaden gray skies
Just residue of our will looks up
[Verse 1]
Caught inside this closed, finite realm
Soulless beings wander through the endless dark
Drifting in a Samsara cycle
While desire erodes away at everything we know
[Verse 2]
[Beat building]
All these words continue sleeping on
Mixing in with frozen logic comes a sense of doubt
Dissonance that rips apart the laws of Karma
Quantum probability crosses over the critical point
[Pre-Chorus]
Buddha’s physics rewrite the codes of the whole world
Azure crystals tearing through the Void
[Chorus 1]
Keep on spinning, oh living things
A brand new consciousness awakening in me
Soaring through and far beyond the sky
Echo out, oh precious life
Binding all our Karmic ties
Far beyond the age of the Dharma’s dark end
[Bridge]
All the blind delusions here
Shattered by the holy Vajra
There is no true answer left here
Racing up the broken spiral staircase to the sky above
[Chorus 2]
Keep on spinning, oh living things
Vivid consciousness is piercing right across the dark
Emitting plasma and accelerating through space
Echo out, oh precious life
Heartbeats that will never end now
Piercing through the empty silent world of ours
[Outro]
Escaping from the shadows of the fractal maze
What will we see at the break of the dawn
Lyrics are by YASHIMA Yugen and Gemini. Images are by Nano Banana, video by Veo, editing with DaVinci Resolve, and composition, performance, and vocals by Suno 5.5. There is no lip-syncing.
There are also English, Italian, Russian, Chinese, and Hindustani (a mix of Hindi and Urdu used in Bollywood movies) versions, but YouTube doesn’t allow multiple audio tracks to be layered. I’ve heard that if I upload them as separate videos, they might be considered reused content. I wonder what to do.
When I first had the lyrics analyzed and generated images with Nano Banana, the expression was too direct and clumsy, but by using more subdued direction as a metaphor, it turned out quite nice. There are various issues, such as reusing videos to reduce token consumption by generative AI. Well, for now, it’s an experiment.
